I visited Iceland in Summer 2016.
Instead of trying to reproduce the (fairly unreproduceable) sheer natural beauty of the island, I was searching for the intersections (sometimes collisions) of the omnipresent mysticity and modern human civilization and tourism – whilst obviously being a part of this combination myself.
While the results are varying from harmonious to slightly grotesque, I did not intend to judge these touching points, but to notice and document them, as I consider them at least as fascinating as the depiction of nature itself.
